The ancient Cherpu Bhagavathy temple of Padinjattumuri is situated in a calm and serene setting about thirteen kilometres south of Thrissur along the Thrissur-Triprayar Road. The outstation pilgrims have to alight at the Thrissur railway station. There are three routes to Triprayar from Thrissur and if the pilgrims are taking the public transport they have to board the Thrissur-Cherpu-Triprayar bus. They have to go past Cherpu and get down at the Padinjattumuri bus stop. As the temple is off the main road they would have to walk a couple hundred metres to reach there. Coming by car you can alternately turn right at Thayamkulangara into the Chittoor Mana Road which takes you directly to the temple.
